Andrea Wan's reflexive illustrations

Born in Hong Kong, raised in Vancouver, relocated to Berlin, Andrea Wan discovered her talent for illustration when making an animated short for her Film graduation project at Emily Carr University. Young illustrator Conrad Roset, living in Barcelona, Spain, is successfully following his life-long passion for drawing and teaches others to do the same as a professor of illustration at the School of Design BAU. Conrad found the reward of living in Internet era: his sketches attracted the attention of Zara, the fast-fashion mega brand and an illustration career ensued. Afterwards he launched himself as freelance artist and until now he has various collaborations from ad agencies and publishing companies to music bands and fashion labels.

Dadu Shin - illustrating with a point

A young American artist with an ice-cream company name (in his own words) Dadu Shin does highly original illustration with strong concepts. Some of them are images of written ideas, collaborating with financial issue PLANSPONSOR being one of the proudest moments for the artist. A fresh graduate from Rhode Island Institute of Design, Dadu Shin experiments with various techniques and trains his drawing skills with fashion illustration. For his commissioned works he uses or mixes painting with digital rendering tehnology, admittedly for the beauty of firm lines and shapes.

Gabriel Pacheco is a remarkable Mexican illustrator. He became a published artist after his sister asked him to illustrate a story. Alexey Kurbatov, the illustrator

Moscow-based Russian illustrator and graphic artist Alexey Kurbatov shows the skill of an old master even if he is still in his twenties. Drawing from the age of 7 years old, even if “somehow left without an Arts education” it was pretty certain he would eventually embrace an artistic career. Working previous as a textile designer he eventually focused on illustration and now his works can be seen in the pages of Russian magazine Snob. on album covers, posters and books and thankfully on Alexey’s online portfolios.

Ashleigh Fedo from Ash Lethal likes our modern art blog and we couldn’t be more honored to feature the works of this young American artist. Born in sunny Palm Beach, Florida, Ashleigh is a self-taught illustrator with a keen interest in music and a big love for animals (she is a SPCA volunteer). She began her artist career in April 2007 and since then she added in her portfolio notable group and solo art shows around Atlanta and at the Hive Gallery in L.A. as well as great artwork for music album covers, band t-shirts prints, advertising logos and other design projects.

Justin Reed is a 29 year old artist from Vermont who is deeply inspired by pop culture, particularly with motion pictures but also by musicians and TV shows. His works, mostly acrylic on canvas, reveal a unique mix of painting, caricature and theme poster depicting cult movies like Hollywood golden classics, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction or Christopher Nolan’s much appreciated The Dark Knight.
